Why Lisa?
Lisa Boesen, MAOM, PHR, is an experienced healthcare professional with expertise in direct patient care, clinical management, facets of talent management, human resources, organizational development and performance improvement.
Lisa has over 30 years of experience in most areas of healthcare delivery including acute care, rehabilitation, and medical group practice, within research, academic, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations and systems. She has designed and implemented outpatient programs, talent management programs and designed and delivered customer service training targeting specific organization business outcomes including patient satisfaction scores and various Human Resource metrics.
Lisa is passionate about healthcare. She understands healthcare delivery and believes compassion can be integrated into all aspects of the work environment and patient interactions. As a student of compassion, she researches the impact and importance of compassion on relationships, believes in an organizational culture of compassion and the linkage of the culture to impacting behaviors and resulting in a compassionate patient experience.
In addition, she brings her personal experience of providing care to terminally and chronically ill parents for over 10 years in her book Managing the End…to Bridge the Beginning. Through sharing her story, Lisa hopes to bring encouragement to caregivers, guidance for a peaceful end, comfort during grief, and strength for a new beginning.
